Traffic snarls, waterlogging, road cave-in reported as heavy rain lashes Gurugram

Heavy rain lashed Gurugram on July 28, 2026, with IMD issuing a red alert for the city and nearby areas including Faridabad, Sohna, Jhajjar and Sonipat.

Waterlogging was reported in several residential localities, disrupting movement on internal lanes.

A portion of a service road in Sector 59 caved in, the sixth such incident in Gurugram during the current monsoon season.

Traffic snarls occurred at Sikanderpur, IFFCO Chowk, NH-48 towards Manesar, Sirhaul border, MG Road and other key stretches.

Assistant commissioner of police (traffic) Satpal Yadav said disruptions were minor and teams were managing the situation.
