Man fired via video call on vacation

A woman posted a viral video claiming her husband was fired via a Microsoft Teams call on their first full day of a family vacation in Hawaii.

The husband received a call from his manager at 9 a.m. Hawaii time and was terminated within minutes of joining the Teams meeting.

The employer was aware he was on leave for the rest of the week, according to the woman.

The couple had saved for months for the trip, and the woman questioned why the termination could not wait until Monday.

The video, reposted on X, amassed over 1.7 million views.
