Madhya Pradesh HC sets up four fast track courts to dispose of paper leak cases in three months

Madhya Pradesh High Court designated four special fast-track courts in Bhopal, Gwalior, Jabalpur, and Indore to try paper leak cases under the Lok Pariksha Adhiniyam, 2024.

The courts must dispose of cases within three months after charge sheets are filed.

The move follows the Central government's assurance to set up fast-track courts after protests over the NEET paper leak in May.

Acting Chief Justice Vivek Rusia named specific judges: Praveen Patel (Bhopal), Vishal Akhand (Gwalior), Anand Kumar Sehlam (Jabalpur), and Dr Shubhra Singh (Indore).

Each court's jurisdiction extends to adjoining districts to ensure effective judicial administration across the state.
