Navi Mumbai Tragedy: 51-Year-Old Cyclist Killed After Speeding Car Allegedly Rams Him On Palm Beach Road;

Parshuram Nagnath Haranshikare (51) was killed when a speeding car (MH-04-MR-1444) hit his bicycle from behind on Palm Beach Road near Sai Baba Temple Chowk in Ghansoli.

The accident occurred at around 8 am on July 18, 2026; Haranshikare was cycling from Talavali towards Koparkhairane.

The driver, Kashinath Bodkhe (55), was taken into custody by Rabale Police for causing death by negligent driving.

An FIR was registered under Sections 106(1), 125(d), and 281 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Section 184 of the Motor Vehicles Act.

Haranshikare was initially taken to Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation Hospital in Vashi, then to Fortis Hospital in Mulund, where he was declared dead at 10:50 am.
