Shooting at Seattle food festival captured on video

Gunfire erupted at the Bite of Seattle food festival at Seattle Center on July 26, 2026, a block from the Space Needle.

A video shows people running and ducking as shots ring out; at least two people died and five others were injured, according to Seattle Fire.

Seattle Fire treated five people: a 40-year-old woman, a 39-year-old woman, a 2-year-old boy, a 23-year-old man, and a 56-year-old woman, all taken to hospital in stable condition.

Witnesses reported hearing seven to eight shots; the Seattle Center Monorail closed for the day and resumed July 27.
