Woman sexually assaulted in Tucson home invasion; suspect sought

A woman was sexually assaulted during a home invasion in the 12000 block of West Vegas Drive near Tucson, Arizona, around 2:40 am on July 20, 2026.

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos stated there is nothing to indicate the assault is related to the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, which occurred about 30 miles away in the Catalina Foothills.

The suspect is described as Hispanic or White, about 5'10" with a thin build, last seen wearing an oversized green shirt and with gray in his beard.

Derrick Callella, 42, of Hawthorne, California, pleaded guilty to sending a fake ransom note to Nancy Guthrie's family, admitting he sought to harass them with bogus bitcoin demands.
