Howard University unenrolls students; check list

Dozens of incoming Howard University students were unenrolled after missing the July 10 payment deadline.

Students like Isabella Williams, Dwayne Irvin, and MarLae’ Coffield said they had pending scholarships or financial aid that they believed would cover costs.

Howard University said it repeatedly informed students about payment deadlines from March to July and is now reviewing cases involving pending aid.

Affected students described the unenrollment as heartbreaking and unfair, with some already preparing to move to Washington, D.C.
