Punjab monsoon session: House pays tributes to eminent personalities

The Punjab Vidhan Sabha paid tributes to former MLA Sahi Ram Bishnoi, Sepoy Sarabjit Singh, freedom fighter Seva Singh, Olympian Randhir Singh, and lyricist Bhula Ram (Chann Goraya) during the monsoon session.

Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan read obituary references for each departed soul, and the House observed a two-minute silence in their memory.

The House also expressed condolences for students linked to the NEET paper leak and sympathized with their families.

BSP MLA Nachhatar Pal urged the House to include names of all those killed during 1980s-90s counter-insurgency operations, including police and civilians, and referred to activist Jaswant Singh Khalra.
