BJP scared, says Cong after revocation of go-ahead for Rahul Gandhi’s Dehradun event

Uttarakhand BJP government revoked permission for Rahul Gandhi's 'Chhatro Ki Goonj' event at Dehradun's Parade Ground.

Dehradun district administration offered an alternative venue, stating Parade Ground is hosting the Union government's extended Lok Samvardhan Parv.

Congress accused the BJP of being scared of Rahul Gandhi's popularity and called the move anti-student and undemocratic.

State Congress chief Ganesh Godiyal said the cancellation exposed the BJP government's anti-student face.

Dehradun district magistrate Ashish Chauhan said the decision was administrative, based on venue availability, traffic, and law order.
