Inside TTR: How table tennis got its own DRS — and what it's actually shown so far at UTT

in5points
Ultimate Table Tennis (UTT) Season 7 in Goa is using the Table Tennis Review (TTR) system for the first time in India.
TTR, developed by Stupa Sports, adjudicates six scenarios including serve toss height (≥16 cm), toss angle (≤30°), and edge or net-ball calls.
Unlike DRS or Hawk-Eye, TTR's primary challenge is adjudicating the serve, not line calls.
Each team gets three reviews per match; a successful or inconclusive challenge retains the review, while a failed one costs it.
The system uses 14 high-speed cameras to create a 3D model tracking ball path, speed, and spin.
