Space technology to shape India’s next growth story: ISRO scientist

Senior ISRO scientist Prof Amitabh Singh said space technology will be a major pillar of India's scientific advancement, economic growth, and national development.

Singh spoke at a Faculty Development Programme on AI-enabled teaching at Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), emphasizing ISRO's role in agriculture, communication, navigation, weather forecasting, and disaster management.

ISRO's space technologies are creating opportunities for research, innovation, and tech startups, while enhancing India's self-reliance.

Singh, chairman of the Planetary and Space Science Data Processing Division and associated with the Venus Orbiter Mission at the Space Applications Centre, highlighted achievements in Chandrayaan missions and future lunar and planetary exploration plans.

MDU vice-chancellor Prof Milap Punia said India's success in space science reflects its growing strength in research, innovation, and technological self-reliance.
