CJP delegation to meet government ministers on Friday as Centre renews outreach: Report

A delegation of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) will meet government ministers at 12.30 pm on Friday, marking the first formal engagement after days of deadlock over the alleged NEET paper leak.

Union minister J P Nadda invited CJP for talks on Thursday, but the outfit declined, insisting on a neutral venue near the protest site.

CJP spokesperson Saurav Das said the group refused to meet at a minister's residence or office and demanded talks at Jantar Mantar.

Protests at Jantar Mantar have continued for nearly a month, with demands including resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, compensation for families of students who died by suicide over the NEET paper leak, and withdrawal of cases against peaceful protesters.

Earlier this week, CJP representatives met J P Nadda and submitted their demands; Nadda assured discussions at the appropriate level.
