Mohali MLA Kulwant Singh urged sanitation workers to end their strike and resolve demands through talks.
The Punjab government created a policy to regularise contractual sanitation workers who have completed three years of service.
The government increased sanitation workers' monthly salary from ₹10,000 to ₹20,000 and removed the contractual system.
More than ₹700 crore was allocated for power infrastructure works in Mohali, including replacing old wiring, transformers, and junction boxes.
Welfare schemes such as 300 free electricity units, health insurance, free medicines at Aam Aadmi Clinics, and financial assistance for women will continue.
