Vigilance books Dharamshala MLA Sudhir Sharma in DA case

Himachal Pradesh vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (SV&ACB) registered an FIR against Dharamshala MLA Sudhir Sharma for possessing disproportionate assets.

The case was registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act after a preliminary enquiry found a prima facie disproportion between Sharma's assets and lawful income.

The inquiry examined financial and property records, including income tax returns, election affidavits, and property records.

The case follows a similar vigilance case against former Dehra MLA Hoshiyar Singh Chambyal for misuse of government funds.

Sharma and BJP leadership called the action politically motivated by the Congress government led by Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.
