Katy Perry, Justin Trudeau want Gavin Newsom to officiate

Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau have chosen California Governor Gavin Newsom as their first choice to officiate their future wedding.

The couple is not yet engaged but has discussed long-term plans, including living at Perry's house in Southern California.

Newsom sees Trudeau as a kindred spirit and considers the relationship mutually beneficial for future political support.

This would be a second marriage for both: Trudeau was married to Sophie Grégoire from 2005 to 2023, and Perry was married to Russell Brand from 2010 to 2012.

Newsom has been present during key moments of their relationship, such as attending the World Economic Forum in Davos with them.
