Visa revocation, travel ban for reckless drivers: US says no second chance to those who put American lives at risk

The US State Department is revoking visas and imposing travel bans on foreign nationals arrested for reckless driving, without waiting for conviction.

The department cited cases including aggravated DUI with a child in the vehicle, DUI with blood alcohol levels over three times the legal limit, and driving with heroin.

Immigration attorney Emily Neumann noted that an arrest is an allegation, not a finding of guilt, and due process should not be bypassed for foreign nationals.
