Ludhiana: After months of delay, CM Mann to inaugurate two SOEs on Aug 2

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will inaugurate two Schools of Eminence (SOEs) at Kidwai Nagar and Millerganj Dholewal on August 2, 2026.

The Kidwai Nagar campus, built with 40 classrooms and modern infrastructure, was originally scheduled to open May 28 but was delayed due to the CM's unavailability.

Students at Kidwai Nagar have continued attending classes in cramped conditions at Government Senior Secondary School, Division No. III, while the new building remained locked.

The Millerganj Dholewal SOE will offer newly installed facilities including projectors, screens, and a water cooler with RO purification.

Both schools are part of the Punjab government's flagship initiative to modernize government education with smart classrooms, upgraded labs, CCTV, and improved sports infrastructure.
