Kanwar Yatra: Yogi warns rumour-mongers, orders closure of meat, liquor shops on route
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ordered the closure of all meat and liquor shops along the Kanwar Yatra route during the pilgrimage.
Yogi directed officials to deploy adequate police personnel and install CCTV cameras at sensitive locations along the route.
The chief minister warned of strict action against those spreading rumours on social media related to the Kanwar Yatra.
Officials were instructed to maintain coordination with neighbouring states including Delhi, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab, and Rajasthan.
The Kanwar Yatra begins with the Hindu holy month of Shravan on July 30.
