Karnataka: Rat caught ‘stealing’ gold jewellery from shop; CCTV solves mystery

A rat was caught on CCTV carrying gold rings and chains from a jewellery shop in Karnataka's Chikkaballapura district.

Staff found 10 rings and two chains missing during a routine stock count, prompting an investigation.

CCTV footage showed the rat carrying a ring at around 4.30 am, leading staff to find the jewellery in its hideout along a path it had created.

Shop owner Vishwas said all missing jewellery was recovered from the area where the rat had made a hole and a path.
