PCB makes padel mandatory for Pak cricketers at National Cricket Academy

The PCB has made padel a mandatory part of training at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore, with 40-minute sessions every alternate day.

The move aims to improve fitness, agility, reflexes, stamina, and fielding skills of Pakistan cricketers.

Senior selector and director of high performance Aqib Javed decided to add padel, citing its physical demands and benefits for movement and endurance.

The PCB has built a padel court at the NCA and installed an AI-powered bowling machine as part of modernization efforts.

Plans include adding basketball courts and an indoor hall with snooker and other games to enhance training facilities.
