Modi responds to CJP protest on paper leak

PM Modi issued a rare selfie video message in response to the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protest at Delhi's Jantar Mantar over exam irregularities and paper leaks.

Modi acknowledged the gravity of the crisis and announced the Centre will move a bill providing for fast-track courts and stricter punishment for those involved in paper leaks.

The government prioritized ensuring students did not lose an academic year, conducting exams for around 22 lakh students in the shortest possible time.

Modi stated that over the past two-and-a-half months, concrete steps were taken, culprits arrested, and they are in jail.

Climate activist Sonam Wangchuk ended his hunger strike after meeting Union ministers JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh, following Modi's assurance.
