CWG: Jhandu Kumar wins India's first medal; day 2 brings mixed results in Glasgow

Jhandu Kumar won India's first medal at the Commonwealth Games by taking bronze in the men's heavyweight para powerlifting event.

Kumar scored 130.9 points after successful lifts of 181kg and 190kg; Nigeria's Idris Riluwan won gold with 132.8 points.

Ashok Malik finished fourth in the men's lightweight para powerlifting event with 143.8 points, narrowly missing a medal.

Karthik Budigina finished fourth in the men's 100m Freestyle S13 final with a time of 57.57 seconds.

India ended Day 2 with one medal and positive performances in para powerlifting, swimming, boxing, and lawn bowls.
