Bombay Bar Association Voluntarily Suspends Canteen Services After FDA Visit, Says No Adverse Order Issued

Maharashtra FDA officers visited the canteen run by Bombay Bar Association (BBA) inside Bombay High Court premises on July 30, 2026.

BBA voluntarily suspended canteen services after the FDA visit, stating no adverse order was received.

BBA Secretary Naushad Engineer said the decision was voluntary and services will resume shortly.

The Bombay High Court, led by Acting Chief Justice Ravindra Ghuge and Justice Gautam Ankhad, questioned uniform enforcement of food safety norms and ordered FDA inspection of all government eateries including Mantralaya and HC canteens.
