After 20 years at Google, US-based Indian executive shares 6 career lessons: 'Grateful for every bit of it'

Shankar Murali, Engineering Analyst Manager at Google's Trust & Safety Payments in California, completed 20 years at Google.

Murali joined Google India when it was a small team and worked on designing Google's first risk, merchant review, and order review models for Google Checkout.

He worked on Google's payments licensing efforts in the US, built compliance systems in Dublin for UK payments licenses, and led Google's counterfeit operations team.

Murali later worked on account security pilots and policy development, and now focuses on payments for Google Cloud and Workspace.

In a LinkedIn post, he shared six career lessons, with a key lesson being 'leadership is listening.'
