A partial eclipse will be visible across Alaska, Siberia, Canada, the northern U.S., Europe, and West Africa.
In Dublin, the sun will be 94% covered, in Oslo 83%, in New York 9%.
The event coincides with a six-planet parade and the Perseid meteor shower.
