NCLT okays record no. of cases, flags manpower shortage

National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) approved a record 78 resolution plans in April-June 2026.

Approved plans were valued at Rs 5,518 crore in the quarter, with total since 2017-18 reaching nearly Rs 4.8 lakh crore.

The tribunal flagged 11 unfilled vacancies for judicial and technical members as of July 13, 2026.

No new member appointments have been made since January 2025; only Justice (Retd) Anupinder Singh Grewal was appointed as president.
