Meerut and Ghaziabad schools, colleges closed till August 12 due to Kanwar Yatra

All schools, colleges, universities, and technical institutions in Meerut and Ghaziabad are closed until August 12 due to Kanwar Yatra.

The closures cover all boards including CBSE, CISCE, ICSE, Uttar Pradesh Board, Basic Shiksha Parishad, and madrassa boards.

Meerut's closure began August 3, while Ghaziabad's closure runs August 4 to August 12.

The decision aims to ensure student safety and manage traffic from the heavy movement of Kanwar pilgrims.

Examinations will continue as scheduled despite the closures.
