Jammu and Kashmir: Pika gun ammo seized from hideout in Poonch; combing operation continues in neighbouring Rajouri

Security forces recovered 215 rounds of Pika gun ammunition from a terrorist hideout in Sawajian Gagranga village, Mandi tehsil, Poonch.

A joint cordon-and-search operation continued for a second day in Thanamandi, Rajouri, to trace two terror suspects captured on CCTV late Sunday.

Footage of the suspects crossing a road went viral Monday night, prompting joint operations by Army, J&K Police SOG, and CRPF early Tuesday.

Operation Sheruwali, a joint combing operation since May 23 in the Dorimal-Gambhir-Mughlan belt in Rajouri's Manjakote sector, entered its 54th day.

Search operations covered Bhanghai Top, Karyote, Kopra Top, and adjoining forested villages in Rajouri and Poonch districts.
