As of July, 11.4% of 7.99 lakh Waqf claims rejected after uploading on central portal

Minority affairs minister Kiren Rijiju informed Parliament that as of July 17, 11.4% of 7.99 lakh Waqf claims were rejected after uploading on the UMEED Central Portal-2025.

Over 6.17 lakh Waqf properties have been validated and approved, while 91,253 properties were rejected during verification.

A total of 91,623 Waqf properties are pending uploading on the portal.

The UMEED Central Portal-2025, created under the Waqf (Amendment) Act 2025 (UMEED Act), manages the lifecycle of Waqf properties including registration, verification, survey, mutation, and audit.

State/UT Waqf Boards that received extensions from tribunals or courts were allowed to reopen the portal to upload existing Waqf details.
