12 Gurgaon bikers, UP SUV driver fined Rs 1.7 lakh for off-roading in Ladakh’s protected areas

Twelve bikers from Gurgaon were fined a cumulative Rs 1.2 lakh for off-roading near Tso Moriri in Ladakh's protected area.

An SUV driver from Uttar Pradesh was fined Rs 50,000 for off-roading within the Changthang wildlife sanctuary near Pangong Lake.

The bikers were part of a Gurgaon-based tour operator 'Wanderon Experiences Pvt Ltd'.

The fines follow recent penalties of Rs 2 lakh on four tourists for off-roading at Pangong Lake.
