Former Uttarakhand Police constable Sher Singh is accused of aiding jailed gangster Praveen Valmiki in a land-grab case.
Sher Singh allegedly used his position to contact Valmiki in Sitarganj Jail and during court appearances to intimidate a widow and her family.
The widow was threatened near Valmiki during a court appearance to pressure her to withdraw a complaint about a disputed property.
Gang members, including Manish Baller and Hasan Abbas Zaidi, allegedly forced the widow to leave Roorkee, then occupied and fraudulently sold the land.
Sher Singh was arrested in September 2025 and granted bail by the Uttarakhand High Court on November 7, 2025.
