Why IOC won't investigate Infantino over Trump's role in Balogun red-card row

The International Olympic Committee will not investigate FIFA president Gianni Infantino over the Folarin Balogun red-card suspension reversal.

The IOC said it lacks jurisdiction because the complaint concerns FIFA governance and football regulations, not Infantino's conduct as an IOC member.

The complaint was filed by NGO FairSquare, alleging Infantino breached political neutrality after US President Donald Trump intervened to reverse Balogun's mandatory suspension.

Norway's Football Federation will consider filing its own ethics complaint against Gianni Infantino.
