US eases Bangladesh travel advisory to level 2 as Gor pays his first visit to Dhaka

The United States updated its travel advisory for Bangladesh from Level 3 (Reconsider Travel) to Level 2 (Exercise Increased Caution).

The change followed the first visit of Sergio Gor, the American ambassador to South and Central Asia, to Dhaka.

Bangladesh's Foreign Ministry praised the advisory change, calling it a reflection of improved safety.

The visit included a bilateral meeting between Bangladesh's Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman and Sergio Gor.
