Mumbai Breakthrough: Boy Missing For Nearly 3 Years Reunited With Family After Extensive MIDC Police

MIDC Police traced a missing boy, Anis Khan, nearly three years after he disappeared from Snehasadan Children's Home in Andheri East on October 22, 2023.

The boy was found living under the name Aman Sheikh (also Aman Rokh) at a children's observation home in Matunga; his identity was confirmed through a photograph shown to his family in Malvani.

Police used databases including CCTNS, ICJS, missing persons records, and Childline 1098 to track the child across multiple child care institutions.

Anis Khan had originally been found wandering near Juhu Chowpatty, admitted to Snehasadan on October 21, 2023, and went missing the next day before being traced to the Matunga home.

The investigation was led by DCP Datta Nalawade, Senior PI Ghanshyam Nair, PI Sunil Karande, and Sub-Inspector Sagar Hujare.
