Intent of infiltrators hasn’t changed since 1999 conflict, says Rajnath in Dras

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said the 'intent of infiltrators' hasn't changed since the 1999 Kargil conflict.

Singh addressed Army personnel at a Shaurya Bhoj in Dras on the eve of the 27th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas.

He stated the Indian Army is 'fully prepared' for challenges like proxy war and infiltration, in a veiled reference to Pakistan.

The government has emphasized modernisation of the armed forces, aiming for the military to receive the latest equipment and best training.
