NTT Data Payments to take UPI global

NTT Data Payment Services is building a hub-based architecture to connect India's UPI with other Asian fast payment systems.

The hub model replaces slow one-to-one country links with a single interoperable network for cross-border retail payments.

The company launched Adaptis as a unified service brand for its digital payment suite across markets.

NDPS works with central banks or switching firms in Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, and India to integrate domestic systems.

Merchants and consumers will be able to transact seamlessly across borders through this interoperable network.
