Road connectivity restored in Rajouri, Poonch & Reasi: BRO

Border Roads Organisation (BRO) under Project Sampark restored road connectivity in Rajouri, Poonch and Reasi after heavy rainfall from July 19 to 24 caused landslides.

Landslides blocked key roads including Rajouri-Poonch NH-144A, Reasi to Mahore, Rajouri to Budhal, and Budhal to Mahore and Gul.

BRO mobilized men and heavy machinery for round-the-clock clearance operations despite adverse weather and challenging terrain.

A 200-feet Bailey Bridge was launched at Baodra nallah to prevent cutting off Mahore from Rajouri and Budhal.

Restoration ensured uninterrupted movement of security forces and essential services.
