Hidden Valley Fire in Idaho prompts evacuation warnings

The Hidden Valley Fire broke out on August 1 in Rathdrum, Idaho, near the 13500 block of West Hidden Valley Road in Kootenai County.

Kootenai County Emergency Management issued a 'GET READY' evacuation notice for Evacuation Zone EZ-39 around Hidden Valley Rd and Songbird Ln.

As of reporting, the fire was 0.25 acres and forward progress had been stopped, according to WatchDuty.

A wet line was put in place around the fire; the cause and injuries were not reported.

Local social media users shared visuals of smoke and a helicopter, with one mentioning a 'sizable fire' at a location on Hidden Valley Rd near Songbird Rd.
