The therapy, Timirex-R, is a nanotechnology-based oral formulation developed by Rasyani Biologics.

The study evaluated Timirex-R as a potential adjunct treatment to reduce dependence on repeated intravitreal injections.

Optical coherence tomography (OCT) imaging showed reduced retinal swelling and favorable structural changes in patients.

Around 90% of patients who showed limited improvement with injections responded to the oral therapy.
