The Chandigarh administration will revisit proposed amendments to the Chandigarh Master Plan-2031 after public objections.
The draft amendments proposed increasing FAR in Phase 3 from 1.2 to 3.0, raising building height limits from about 46 feet to 30 metres, and mandating a minimum of four floors.
Objections came from residents welfare associations, environmental groups, and planning experts, citing concerns about infrastructure pressure and the city's low-density heritage character.
The administration has constituted a screening committee to examine objections and hold hearings.
