Gulveer Singh won silver in the 10,000m and bronze in the 5,000m at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
He became the first Indian to win two athletics medals at a single Commonwealth Games.
His coach Scott Simmons credited his finishing speed, showcased at the LA Track Fest where he ran 13:03.93 in the 5K.
In the 5,000m, Gulveer stayed on the inside rail and used patience to secure bronze in 13:24.95.
Ky Robinson of Australia won silver in the 5,000m, while Mathew Kipchumba Kipsang of Kenya won gold.
