PM virtually opens elevated railway track in Kurukshetra

  1. PM Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated the 5.9 km elevated railway track in Kurukshetra, costing ₹ 447 crore.

  2. The 4.8 km viaduct, supported by 213 pillars, was built over five railway crossings to provide relief to daily traffic.

  3. The project was executed by Haryana Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation (HRIDC), a joint venture of the Haryana government and the Ministry of Railways.

  4. PM Modi laid the foundation stone for Haryana's first Sikh Museum in Sector 33, Umri village, at a cost of ₹ 170 crore.

  5. He also dedicated the 33.81 km Ambala-Kala Amb National Highway, a four-lane highway costing ₹ 1,184 crore, to improve connectivity between Haryana and Himachal Pradesh.
