'Google was HIIT pro max experience': Gurgaon executive reflects on 8-year stint after quitting

Gauri Juneja, head of corporate communications at Google in Gurugram, announced her departure after an 8-year stint in a LinkedIn post.

Juneja described her time at Google as the 'HIIT Pro Max experience', saying it took her farther than she could have imagined.

Her role spanned high-impact products and initiatives including Google Pay and UPI in India, YouTube, tech policy, advertising, monetisation, and AI.

She cited rigour, a reframed idea of scale, and values in decision-making as key lessons from Google.

She thanked her team, colleagues, and leaders, saying 'Wherever I am, there's a part of me that will always belong to you.'
