₹50 lakh transaction leads police to close aide for plotting Vasai businessman’s murder
Police identified Sagar Bhanusali, business partner of Vasai businessman Mohansingh Laxmansingh Parmar at GSM Foils Ltd, as the mastermind behind a murder plot.
The plot was uncovered due to a ₹50 lakh transaction, not the shooting, which linked Bhanusali to the conspiracy.
Motivated by a ₹32 crore debt and losses in international gold trading after the America-Iran war, Bhanusali allegedly wanted to kill Parmar to avoid repayment and gain control of the firm.
On July 25, two motorcycle-borne assailants attempted to kill Parmar, shooting him in the shoulder, but he survived.
Bhanusali initially aided Parmar by taking him to Riddhivinayak Hospital, avoiding suspicion until the transaction led police to him.
