Centre appoints Harjit Singh Grewal national minorities panel chief

The appointment aims to deepen BJP's rural reach in Punjab ahead of an independent political push.

Munawari Begum was appointed vice-chairperson and Glenn E Souza Ticlo as member.

All appointments are for a three-year tenure.
