'We Do'nt Answer Vulgarity With Vulgarity': Araghchi Says Iranians Known For 'Civility, Culture, Strong Moral Values'; Old Post Resurfaces

Senior Iranian diplomat Syed Abbas Araghchi posted on X that Iran does not answer vulgarity with vulgarity, asserting Iranians are known for civility, culture, and strong moral values.

The U.S. reimposed a naval blockade on Iranian ports, leading Iran to launch retaliatory strikes on U.S. facilities in Bahrain, destroying weapons and parts storage.

Iran declared it will continue to control access through the Strait of Hormuz until the U.S. halts acts of aggression, threatening global oil trade as 20% of oil passes through.

Araghchi echoed President Trump on compensation for secure Strait passage, stating Iran has always been the guardian and will remain so, but called 20% too high.

The escalation has frozen diplomatic channels and ended an interim nuclear agreement, with both sides accusing each other of bad-faith violations.
