Seers pledge to resist anti-Sanatan forces, advocate restoring Ayodhya’s ‘prestige’

Nearly 200 seers met with RSS and VHP functionaries in Ayodhya on July 24, 2026, to discuss issues after alleged Ram temple donation theft controversy.

Seers demanded a greater role in the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust and inclusion of a prominent Ayodhya seer as trustee.

Five Ayodhya seers were inducted into the reconstituted nine-member Dharmik committee of the Trust on July 22, 2026.

The meeting aimed to contain fallout from alleged irregularities ahead of Uttar Pradesh assembly elections in early 2027.

Seers resolved to resist anti-Sanatan forces and restore Ayodhya’s image, calling for strict adherence to Vaishnav-Ramanandi tradition in temple rituals.
