Ludhiana: Four nabbed for robbery at Jagraon ayurvedic clinic

Ludhiana rural police arrested four people, including Rahul Singh, Akashdeep Singh, Beant Kaur, and Balwant Singh, for a robbery at Chopra Hospital in Jagraon.

The robbery occurred on July 23, 2026, when suspects posed as patients, overpowered Dr. Vijay Chopra, taped his mouth, and threatened him with a pistol.

The accused stole around ₹2.5 lakh in cash, foreign currency, and a gold ring; they abandoned their motorcycle outside the clinic.

CCTV footage and the abandoned motorcycle helped police identify and arrest the four accused; the mastermind and one accomplice remain absconding.

The arrested suspects were remanded to three-day police custody for interrogation to recover looted items and the weapon.
