16 empanelled hospitals face action after negligence in Ayushman Scheme

State Agency for Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme (SACHIS) initiated action against 16 hospitals in Bijnor for negligence under Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana.

Surprise inspections at 20 hospitals found non-compliance with prescribed standards, including deficient Standard Treatment Guidelines and quality shortcomings.

Six hospitals received suspension notices with payment withheld; 10 others were served notices for irregularities.

Irregularities included repeatedly admitting patients from the same family and booking ICU beds unnecessarily.

Penalties will be calculated at 10 times the applicable amount; SACHIS CEO Archana Verma warned strict action for ignoring standards.
