Teen, walking on track with earphones on, run over by goods train in Faridabad

A 16-year-old Class 9 student named Sagar was fatally hit by a goods train in Faridabad.

The accident occurred near Prahaladpur village in Ballabgarh while Sagar was walking on railway tracks wearing earphones.

Sagar could not hear the train's horn due to the earphones, and was struck from behind around 9 pm on Wednesday.

Sagar had come to Prahaladpur with his mother to visit his maternal grandparents; he stepped out due to a power outage.

Police urged people to avoid walking on or alongside railway tracks while wearing earphones to prevent such tragedies.
